Three days in Kyoto
Plan three days in Kyoto for late November. I like gardens, not crowds.

Late November is peak maple season, so gardens are at their best and the famous ones are at their busiest. The plan below puts the popular stops at opening time and saves the afternoons for quieter places.

Day 1: Eastern hills
  • Arrive at Kiyomizu-dera when it opens, before the tour buses.
  • Walk down Sannenzaka and Ninenzaka while the shops are still shuttered.
  • Afternoon at Shoren-in: a small temple garden that rarely fills up.
Day 2: Arashiyama and the west
  • Bamboo grove at sunrise, then Tenryu-ji's garden as it opens.
  • Skip the main street at noon; take the path north to Gio-ji, a moss garden under maples.
  • Saihō-ji needs a written application weeks ahead. Apply now if you want the moss temple.
Day 3: North and the Philosopher's Path
  • Morning at Ginkaku-ji, then walk the Philosopher's Path south.
  • Lunch near Eikan-do, and come back to it for the evening light-up.

If one day turns rainy, swap it with day 3: the path is lovely wet, and the temples there have covered viewing halls.

Which of those temples needs a reservation?

Of the places in the plan, only Saihō-ji. You send a request in advance and get a time slot back; walk-ups are turned away.

Everything else takes you at the gate. For the Eikan-do evening light-up, buy the ticket at the gate and expect a queue after dark.

Make day 2 work by train only.

Take the JR Sagano line from Kyoto Station to Saga-Arashiyama. The bamboo grove is a ten-minute walk from there, and Tenryu-ji is next to it.

From Gio-ji, walk back to the station; there's no train closer. Head back toward town on the Randen tram from Arashiyama, which drops you near the center for the evening.

Whole day without a bus or a taxi, and no transfer before noon.

Do I need an API key or a specific OS?

No API key. Supfoldr works right inside ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Grok, signed in with your own accounts. It runs on Windows, Mac, Linux and ChromeOS, in any browser listed below.

Which browsers are supported?

Every Chromium browser that installs from the Chrome Web Store: Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Brave, Arc, Vivaldi and Opera.

Is my data safe? Do you collect my chats?

Your folders, tags, notes, bookmarks, highlights and prompts are stored only on your device, in your browser's own storage. Supfoldr has no server of its own, so we never collect, store or read your chats. It asks only for storage and access to the AI sites it works on. The extension sends only anonymous usage data, such as installs and errors, never your chats. See the privacy policy.

Is Supfoldr GDPR-friendly?

Yes. There's no account and no server of ours holding your data: everything you organize stays in your browser. The only personal data we handle is your purchase, through Lemon Squeezy, and you can ask us for a copy of it or to delete it. Usage events are anonymous and can't be traced back to you. Which AIs does my plan cover?

How do I activate my Pro license?
